WYES Chocolate Sunday

"Chocolate, Chocolate, & More Chocolate" was the decadent scene at Generations Hall for the Annual WYES-TV Channel 12 Chocolate Sunday fundraiser on February 10, 2008. Vendors from all over including New Orleans Ice Cream, Wolfe's, Muriel's, The Melting Pot, Blue Frog Chocolates and many others participated in this heavenly event. Many drinks including fine liquors, champagne and wines from Republic and Glazer were sampled at this event. Some interesting twists on this culinary favorite included a "healthy" chocolate being marketed specifically to women along with "male chocolate" and "female chocolate," each having specific characteristics and flavors that sexes voted on. The event was a huge success, with many patrons getting their dose of chocolate even before Valentine's Day this year.

Shaquille O'Neal and Reggie Bush's "Welcome to New Orleans" Big Easy Billiards Bash & After Party was dubbed as one of the biggest parties during the NBA to get into, which was held at the Hilton Riverside on Friday, February 15, 2008. This party had some of the biggest names inside including some of Hollywood's elite bidding on luxurious auction items after the Billiard's blowout. The event raised money for three great local causes: A Child's Wish, Habitat for Humanity, and the Father T Foundation-a new charter school in New Orleans offering unique and innovative education opportunities for children with learning differences.
